Celebrating 4/20 this year? Check out these events, deals around Denver for the annual pot holiday.

Get fired up, Denver, because 4/20 is on a Saturday this year. That means concerts, movies, light shows and good food.

Don’t overdo it because Sunday is Easter and you need to go to brunch with your mom.

April 19

Lasers!

BEYOND @ The International Church of Cannabis, 400 S. Logan St., features an immersive laser light and sound show with guided meditations, art and music. Visitors also have access to the church’s game room, lounge and media cave. Consumption is not allowed inside.

Shows start every hour: 1 to 9 p.m. Friday; 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

4:20 Eve on the Rocks. 

A concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater featuring 311, Method Man & Redman and others. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets can be found at redrocksonline.com.

April 20

Global Dance

Ganja White Night & Buds and other special guests want you to get your dance on at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield. Showtime is 6 p.m. Tickets are available at 1stbankcenter.com.

FlyHi 4:20 Festival

The big festival in Civic Center is more commercial and less political but that doesn’t stop the crowds from packing into the heart of the city for some music and a smoke. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are free but festival organizers ask attendees to register at eventbrite.com.

Got the munchies?

Ace Eat Serve and Steuben’s in Uptown are creating special 4/20 menus with sweet and savory dishes that will cost, you guessed it, $4.20.

At Ace Eat Serve, those with the munchies can order small plates such as “OG Nugs,” Japanese fried chicken bites with a sweet ginger dip, or “Pineapple Express,” fried spring rolls with pineapple, vanilla ice cream and hot caramel sauce.

At Steubens’, go for the “Steubie Snacks,” crispy braised pork shoulder with powdered sugar and chili garlic aioli, or “Disco Fries,” covered with brown gravy, cheese béchamel and bacon. There will be $4.20 signature shakes.

Elevated dining

TAG Restaurant offers its annual 4/20 tasting menu. For $84.20, munch on Puff Puff Passed appetizers, Frito pie casserole, burgers, lobster mac & cheese and other treats. For reservations, call 303-996-9985.

Hearth & Dram, 1801 Wewatta St., wants to help you feel better with its “4/20 Recovery Brunch. Executive Chef Adam Vero is offering cheeky and irreverent takes on a classic brunch menu.
