This is what the firm sent out on publication of the latest edition of Best Lawyers
BOSTON, DENVER and NEW YORK — Seven attorneys from national cannabis law firm Vicente Sederberg LLP (VS) were recognized this week by Best Lawyers, the oldest and most respected peer review publication in the legal profession.
VS’s Denver-based founding partners Brian Vicente and Christian Sederberg were once again selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2022 for their work in the field of Corporate Law. Vicente was also selected for his work in Cannabis Law. Boston-based counsel Phil Silverman was selected in the field of Land Use and Zoning Law, marking his first appearance in the publication.
Four additional VS attorneys were included in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, which recognizes associates and other lawyers who are earlier in their careers for their outstanding professional excellence in private practice. For the second year in a row, Boston-based senior associates Meg Nash and David M. Ullian were recognized for their work in Land Use and Zoning Law, and Denver-based senior associate Jerrico Perez was recognized for her work in Administrative/Regulatory Law. New York-based counsel Shane Pennington was recognized for his Appellate Practice.
Best Lawyers lists are based on an exhaustive peer-review evaluation, which included an analysis of more than 8 million evaluations in 2021. The publication started in 1983 and has become universally regarded as a definitive guide to legal excellence. Inclusion is considered a singular honor because attorneys are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed.
“As the cannabis industry and research into psychedelics and other emerging therapies continue to expand, there is a growing need for counsel who specialize in these areas and have the ability to integrate them with other fields of law,” Vicente said. “We are extremely proud to see a growing number of our attorneys recognized by Best Lawyers across several different practice areas. We are grateful to be included in this prestigious publication, and we thank the many legal professionals who nominated and supported us throughout this process.”
